Cleveland, Ohio – February 14, 2013 — Welcome House, committed to a goal of creating and maintaining residential community based programs for the care and assistance of people who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), announced the appointment of a new slate of officers for both Welcome House and West Haven.

West Haven, based on its founding principles of love, concern and understanding, exists to exercise stewardship of the Foundation’s resources, ensuring their long-term viability to support the Mission of Welcome House and for the benefit of the IDD community.

ABOUT WELCOME HOUSE
Welcome House, Inc. is dedicated to helping individuals with developmental disabilities live full and rewarding lives by providing a variety of residential services in an atmosphere of a caring community. Founded in 1981, Welcome House has a staff of 300 dedicated caregivers who provide services to more than 150 individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities living in group homes or supported living sites in Cuyahoga County, as well as to many others living in family homes. Welcome House creates a supportive atmosphere in which clients develop independence and a sense of competence by experiencing success at home and in the community.
